Love Check

How hard is it to continue to treat someone with love and kindness after they have hurt your dearly?  Or how hard is it to say you hurt me, but i still love you and will continue to be by your side for whenever you call. That kind of love commitment to someone is so hard to believe.  Why on earth would you continue to love and be kind to someone after their selfish acts and wrongful doings? 
God loves us even when we disobey or ignore him.  He has great blessings to give to his children who are faithful to him.  His Love NEVER ends... Wow. 
Because God loves us so much he hates hypocrisy and careless living (insert love check right here).  This kind of living denies God the relationship he so longs and desires to have with us.  Can you imagine loving someone so much and wanting to give your all, but they just don't want to love you back or even meet you half way.  Well i have, and it hurts and i can only imagine how it hurts our Father.  What we give and how we live reflects the sincerity of our love for God.
God deserves our very best.  Our best is not always perfect, no one ever said it would be, but through Christ and our efforts of true love it,  can be.  Sometimes we so get entangled in sin until it hardens our hearts to be our very best for God.  Take some time and do a Love Check.  Are you in a one-sided relationship with God?  Is he always on the giving end and you on the other?  This kind of reality hurts, but is so necessary to heal.

Come Rain or Shine

Okay, so me and these 5lbs have been playing ping pong with each other for the past 2 weeks and it is really getting on my nerves!  So as a part of me reclaiming me, that includes losing some weight...15 to 20lbs to be exact.  Looks like i am gonna have to go old school and kick start my weight loss with a good old fashion natural detox.  I had to do this once before when i had a personal trainer and i loss 5lbs in one week (probably water weight), BUT 5LBS less on the scale smells like victory to me.  So i am starting tomorrow come rain or shine!!  The detox is pretty simple.

You can only have:
Fruits
Vegetables
(1) 4oz piece of poultry or fish (baked or broiled/at lunch only)
Vegetable Soup
Water (2) 32oz bottles daily

The detox works like this:  2pieces of fruit for breakfast, soup/salad/piece of lean meat for lunch/ soup, salad and fruit for dinner.  No eating after 7pm, No bread... NOTHING...For SEVEN DAYS!!  I'll check in on Wednesday with an update.

Hidden Treasure

What good is treasure if it is hidden?  Does it still have value if it's not being put to worth?  In the book of Haggai 2:1-9  the Bible talks about the prophet Haggai encouraging the governor of Judah and the high priest to be encouraged and continue to rebuild God's temple.  In verse 3 it says, "Is there anyone who can remember the temple as it was before?" 
Now the temple not only represents the physical structure that was being built, but it represents us as a people because we are the temple of God in which the Holy Spirit dwells.  The Bible also goes on to say in verse 5 that God's Spirit remains in us, just as He promised when we came out of Egypt so don't be afraid.
Sometimes in life after God has delivered us from circumstances and we have been obedient for a little while we expect instantaeous results from God.  It's like when we are reading our Bible or not cussing or drinking or that one time when escape from having sex, the child comes out in us saying," Look at me God, Im doing what you told me, now where is that car I have been praying for or my husband or wife i have been SO LONG waiting for?"  I am preaching to the choir right now.  It reminds me of my daughter when i tell her to eat all her food and afterwards she can have some candy or ice cream.  Those last few bites that she does not want to eat, after everyone she says, " Look at me mama, I'm eating my food!"  We must remain true in our motives and that is to genuinely have a Love for God to please him no matter what.
In verse 8, the Lord Almighty says, " In just a little while i will again shake the heavens and the earth.  I will shake the oceans and dry land too.  I will shake the nations and the treasures of all nations will come unto this temple.  I will finish this place in glory.
Two points i want to make:  The first point is about the treasures being restored.  Those treasures can also be in reference to all our gifts, talents and creativity lying dormant on the inside of us or that have just been stolen from doubt, insecurity, and a mind that needs to be renewed.  How many dreams and ideas have been stolen form you because of such things?  It's time to rekindle and reclaim those things and that comes from renewing your mind through God's word and positive affirmation.
The second point ( I am almost finsih):  God said i will finish this place with Glory! Hallelujah!  That just stirred something on the inside of me because it also says in the Bible, that work that God began in you he will finish.
Believe my friends, Trust God, but most of all renew your mind with His word.  Let His love overtake you, fill you and flow through you.  In Jesus name.
Action for today:  Meditate on where you want to be in life, begin to see yourself there.  Remember your hopes and dreams.  Ask yourself, what good is a treasure if it is hidden and of no value to anyone.  Constantly reaffirm yourself of who you are...A child of  The Most High God.

Who's Love Struck?

Well I have been on the hunt for a new Fall Fragrance and I must say Vera Wang has done her thang!  I love this fragrance. It's warm and sexy, perfect when wearing boots and sweaters when Fall weather really hits.  I'm still looking for a few more so if anyone knows of a great fragrance out there let me know

Bear Fruit Hair product review~

I found out about BFH from watching Coloured Beautiful on YouTube after she did her BIG CHOP well one of the products she was using was BFH African Export Leave-In Conditioner, so of course I went to the website and ordered it along with others as you can see, but I LOVE Bear Fruit Hair products.  Right now I am using Fruits & Flowers Leave-In and the Chocolate Coffee Conditioner. Is Your Black Butter 100% Natural?

Okay, I know some of you are wondering Black Butter?  What in the world is she talking about?  Well out there on the market is all kinds of Black Soaps and Shea Butters, but are they 100% natural?  I have found all natural black soap and shea butter which by the way is INCREDIBLE.
